Request account and personal-data deletion / अकाउंट और डेटा हटाने का अनुरोध

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Android application identified by package name in.azadinstitute.btsstudent and to the student-service functions directly connected with that application.

Third-party websites, apps or services that you choose to open from outside the app are governed by their own privacy policies.

2. Information we process

Account and access information

To provide access to authorized students, we may process information such as:

• your name;
• your registered or contact mobile number;
• your verified Google account identifier, email address and name when you choose Google sign-in;
• course, subject, batch or entitlement/access information; and
• login or access credentials used to authenticate your eligibility to use the service.

A Google-created account is linked to the Google identity verified by our server. A contact phone number alone does not prove ownership of a Google account. Existing registered students can continue using their mobile number and Access Code.

Academic activity and performance information

When you use tests and result features, we may process academic activity including:

• tests opened or attempted;
• answers or responses submitted;
• scores, attempt history and result-review information;
• rank and percentile information; and
• other progress information needed to provide performance and leaderboard features.

Where a leaderboard is available, it may display limited academic information such as a student's name, score, rank or percentile. We do not display a student's mobile number on the leaderboard.

Support and question-report information

If you voluntarily use Help, Doubt Support or Question Report features, we may process the information you provide for that request. A question report may include items such as question number, selected language and the issue or reason described by you.

If you choose to continue a support request through WhatsApp, the information you send through WhatsApp is also processed by WhatsApp/Meta under its own terms and privacy policy.

Technical and service information

Our systems and service providers may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service, such as app version, request timestamps and basic network or server-request information. The app uses Android ID, or a generated installation identifier when Android ID is unavailable, for device-bound login and account security. Server-side device matching uses a hashed identifier.

3. Google Play purchases

In versions that support in-app admission, available digital courses can be purchased through Google Play Billing. Our server processes the product identifier, purchase token, order identifier, purchase and acknowledgement status, and associated course access and validity. These records support purchase verification, course access, restoration, and handling of cancelled or refunded purchases.

Google Play handles payment entry. The Student App does not collect or store payment-card numbers, UPI PINs, bank-account credentials or your Google password. Website admission is a separate service with its existing payment flow.

4. Advertising

The Student App is not designed to display third-party advertising and does not use advertising functionality as part of its student-test experience.

5. How we use information

We use information only for purposes reasonably connected with providing and protecting the Student App and related student services, including to:

• authenticate students and determine access eligibility;
• deliver course and test content;
• verify Google Play purchases, restore eligible access, and apply purchase cancellations or refunds to the affected course entitlement;
• save attempts and provide results, review, rank, percentile and performance history;
• respond to support, doubt and question-report requests;
• maintain service reliability, security and abuse prevention;
• diagnose technical problems; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations or valid legal requests.

6. Sharing of information

We do not sell users' personal information.

Information may be disclosed only where reasonably necessary to:

• service providers: trusted hosting, database, infrastructure or technical-service providers that help us operate the app;
• support services chosen by you: for example, when you choose to contact support through WhatsApp;
• legal or safety purposes: where disclosure is required by law, legal process, or is reasonably necessary to protect users, our service or our rights; or
• business continuity: in connection with a lawful reorganization, transfer or continuation of the service, subject to appropriate protection of user information.

7. Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. Data transmitted between the app and its online services is intended to use encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should also protect their login/access credentials and avoid sharing them with others.

8. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide student access, maintain academic records and result history, resolve support or security issues, and meet applicable legal or operational requirements.

When information is no longer required, we may delete it, anonymize it, or securely retain only the portion that must be kept for legitimate legal, security or record-keeping purposes.

9. Account and personal-data deletion requests

You can request deletion of your Bilaspur Test Series Student App account and associated personal data without reinstalling the app. Send your request to founder@bilaspurtestseries.com or prepare a WhatsApp deletion request. State that you want your Student App account deleted and provide the Google email or registered mobile number used for that account. Do not send passwords, OTPs, card details or UPI PINs.

Inside the app, open Help, choose Delete account / personal data, describe your request and prepare the support message. You review and send the message yourself. अकाउंट हटाने के लिए ऐप के मदद अनुभाग में “अकाउंट / व्यक्तिगत डेटा हटाना” चुनें, या ऊपर दिए email अथवा WhatsApp से अनुरोध भेजें।

We verify ownership before acting on a request. After verification, we delete the account and associated personal information, including its profile, login sessions and identifiable academic records, except records that must be retained for legal obligations, transaction record-keeping, security or fraud prevention. Retained purchase records may include the order identifier, purchase status and verification records; they are restricted to those purposes and kept only as long as necessary. We explain any applicable retention when handling the request.

Account deletion removes access associated with the account. It does not automatically refund a Google Play purchase; refund requests follow the applicable Google Play process and our payment support policy. The 7-day payment-support request period does not limit requests to delete an account or personal data. You may also contact us to request access to or correction of your information.

10. Children's privacy

The Student App is intended for candidates and students preparing for teacher-recruitment, eligibility and competitive examinations. It is not directed to children under 13 years of age.

If we learn that information from a child has been provided in a manner inconsistent with applicable requirements, we will take reasonable steps to review and address it.

11. Third-party services

Google provides Google sign-in and Google Play Billing. Supabase provides backend hosting, database and server functions used to operate student accounts, course access and purchase verification. WhatsApp/Meta processes support messages only when you choose to send them through WhatsApp. These providers process information for their respective services under their applicable terms and privacy policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Student App, our data practices or applicable requirements change. The current version will be posted at this URL and the effective date above will be updated when appropriate.
